As a teacher who is focused on curating a student centred classroom, some of the strategies that I felt best supported this pursuit were demonstration, questioning, review and respond and co-creating sucess criteria. The last strategy, co-creating success criteria had a particular impact with a group of 5th years during my teaching practice. This can be seen evidenced in my (link) research report. Example lesson plans illustrate the planning of differenciation, literacy and numeracy strategy and classroom management in every class. The department plan informs the units which in turn informs the lesson plans, creating a carefully constructed framework of planning to create successful learning environments.
