TEACHER

As an art teacher it can be difficult to interrogate the processes of planning, teaching, and assessment in the same way as other subjects do. The curriculum is not set in the same way and assessment can be an ambiguous topic. Fortunately these reasons are also why it is my chosen subject. Art is so open and less concrete than many subjects, allowing for more exploration and enigmatic experiences by definition. While assessment is slightly less clear cut, this ‘problem’ has lead to a thorough understanding of just what assessment means in my teacher education.
